Campaign Story

My name is Yewande, and I live in Toronto, Canada. For the past seven years, my husband and I have been trying to have a baby.

Our journey began with hope, but it has been long and medically challenging. Early on, we tried three IUI cycles, all of which were unsuccessful. During this process, I discovered I had fibroids and underwent fibroid surgery, believing it would improve our chances. Unfortunately, instead of things getting better, my symptoms worsened.

I was later diagnosed with Stage 4 endometriosis, a severe form of infertility. Since that diagnosis, I have undergone two major surgeries to remove endometriosis, and during one of these procedures, my left fallopian tube had to be removed.

Despite everything, we continued to pursue treatment. We completed two IVF cycles:

The first IVF cycle resulted in no embryos

The second IVF cycle led to a failed frozen embryo transfer

Following this most recent IVF attempt, I was diagnosed with hydrosalpinx, adding yet another complication to an already difficult journey.

After years of treatments, surgeries, emotional loss, and financial strain, we are now considering surrogacy as our next path to becoming parents. Surrogacy offers hope, but it also comes with significant costs that are far beyond what we can manage alone.

We are humbly asking for support to help cover part of the cost of surrogacy. Any contribution—no matter the size—would bring us one step closer to finally building the family we have been praying and hoping for over the past seven years.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story, for your kindness, and for standing with us on this journey.
